Robin Davis Photography Gallery
Robin Davis’s painterly, illustrative images are as rich with the nuance of timeless story as they are with the color, lighting and expressions that tell it. From iconographic portraits to landscapes that simmer with a consciousness all their own, Robin illustrates her unusual perception for finding the thread of fantasy within reality.
Since 1998, Robin has been sharing her favorite places in and around Cortona and these images are all examples from field trips and demonstrations with her students. As a workshop instructor she enjoys connecting with each of her students on a personal level working one-on-one to bring out a unique path in photography all their own. Many of her students return year after year, and keep in touch with success stories about their work.
Please note: All of the effects in her photographs were produced entirely in-camera, not in post production.
Robin is dedicated to teaching these techniques, and helping each photographer to see from within, articulating their own way to add power, spirit and meaning to their work. As a professional photographer working in the field today, she adds valuable insights and advice on ways to print, sell, exhibit and thrive in the world of image making.
Robin’s work has appeared on covers of Popular Photography, Archeology, and numerous books and magazines. She has had over 100 exhibitions of her work worldwide, and her work has been featured for Liz Claiborne, Penguin Putnam Publishing, The Coca-Cola Company, The High Museum Of Art, Michael C. Carlos Museum/Emory University, The Piedmont Park Conservancy, The Goethe-Institut, Visiting Nurse Health Systems, The Atlanta Shakespeare Company, Bellagio Las Vegas, Bloomingdales, St. Martin’s Press, St. Regis Hotels, The Omni William Penn Hotel and many private and international collections.
