Flag throwing in Tuscany is a skill of timing that creates dramatic moments of suspended tension as the flag flutters high in the air – the audience waits, transfixed and breathless, through extended seconds for the plummeting descent and flourishing catch! Students during our Italy Photo Workshop enjoy this festive spectacle in the piazzas of Cortona, and this performing sbandieratore takes the energy of the art to a whole new level!
